The first decade of the team, not having its premises, forced them to wander through the various stages of the city. In 1981 the theater got its own building on Myasnikova street, 44, in which on 15 October its twelfth season with operetta by Johann Strauss’ Die Fledermaus’ was opened.

During life of the theater over hundred of performances has been put on its stage, many of them are in the golden fund of the national culture, and have become significant events in the cultural life of the country.

Music Theater staged first “Paulinka”, “Week of Eternal Love”, “Stepan – velikii pan” by Yuri Semenyako, “Nesterka” and “Judgment hour” by Grigorii Surus, “Denis Davydov,” by Andrew Mdivani ” Millionairess “by Eugene Glebov,” Spring Song “and” Adventures in Alphabet Castle” by Victor Voytik,” Julia “and” Glass of Water “by Vladimir Kondrusevitsh.

There are more than thirty different genres of performances in today’s repertory of the theatre. Classic operetta, musical, musical comedy, comic opera, rock opera, ballet, plays for children and diverse concert programs are presented in the poster.

The staff of the theater has wonderful actor personality: eminent masters of the stage, whose names are the pride of the Belarusian art, and gifted youth, as well as highly professional symphony orchestra, choir and ballet company.

Nowadays many famous people work in the theater, such as People’s artist of Belarus Natalia Gaida, Vladimir Ivanov, Ekaterina Fadeeva, Honored Artists of the Republic of Belarus Zhanna Lebedeva, Valentina Petlitskaya, Serdyukov Vasily, honored artist of Russia Alexey Kuzmin, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, Adam Murzich, laureates of international and national artists competitions.

Significant achievements in the development of the Belarusian Musical theater served as a basis for changing the status of the team and its renaming. In 2000, the State Musical Comedy Theater of Belarus was renamed the Belarusian State Music Theatre, in 2001 he was awarded the honorary title “Honored Ensemble of the Republic of Belarus”, in the 2009th – the status of “academic.”

The Belarusian State Academic Musical Theatre – one of the most popular and beloved in the country. Collective credo is respect for the traditions of musical art and the courage to experiment.
