The first Theatre of young spectator opened in Minsk in 1931 and lasted until July 1941. In 1937 the theater was headed by well-known director and teacher Yevstigney Mirovich. The theater was known not only in Belarus. The youngest, he was among the sixteen best theaters in the country. The Belarusian Army Drama Theater (BADT) – is the youngest of the public theaters. It was founded in 2003 on the initiative of Minister of Defense of Belarus Colonel-General A. Maltsev.
