One of the most convenient ways to get to Minsk is by train. At the end of 2000 a new railway station building was opened, conveniently located in the city center. The modern design of the building of glass and steel fit into the style of the old square quite successfully . The building of the Minsk railway station is shaped like a huge ship. There are waiting rooms, ticket halls, cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, shops, post office, telegraph office, VIP-hall, conference room and a children’s amusement park.

There are also bus stations in Minsk. More information about the local and regional public transport (routes, schedules) can be found at http://www.minsktrans.by/en/
