We welcome you to the hero city of Minsk, the capital and the largest political, economic, cultural and scientific center of our country. Following the presented Metropolitan route, we will travel through all 9 administrative districts of our city and get acquainted with its most iconic tourist sites. The total length of the route is about 70 kilometers, and the duration of cycling is about 8 hours, but it can also be completed on foot, by car, public transport, or by combining transportation methods.
We will begin our acquaintance with the city from a place filled with the historical memory of the Belarusian people – Victory Square.
Located on Independence Avenue, Victory Square is one of the most solemn and majestic squares in Minsk.
The architectural dominant of the entire square, its compositional center is the Victory Monument. An Eternal Flame is burning at the foot of the Victory Monument. The ensemble of the square began to form in the pre-war period, actively rebuilding and expanding in the second half of the 40s – 50s, and then in the 80s.
There is a metro station of the same name under Victory Square, in the underpass of which there is a memorial hall of Heroes with a glass Wreath of Glory, a bronze image of the Star of the Hero of the Soviet Union, memorial plaques on which 566 names of Heroes of the Soviet Union who died during the Great Patriotic War are immortalized.
We are currently on a route through the Sovetsky district. Its length is about 3.5 kilometers.
One of the objects of the route is Yakub Kolas Square, located on the site of the former village of Komarovka, which gave its name to this area and the most famous market in the city. In the center of the square there is a monument to the classic of Belarusian literature, the national poet of Belarus Yakub Kolas. Here he is depicted in a thoughtful pose, sitting on a boulder surrounded by the heroes of his works.
Other objects on the route through the Sovetsky district are the Church of the Holy Trinity (St. Roch), the Zolotaya Gorka Microdistrict, Vladimir Mulyavin Square, the Belarusian State Philharmonic, the Komarovka microdistrict, Komarovsky Square, Komarovsky Market and TSUM.
We are currently on a route through Pervomaisky district. Its length is about 7 km.
One of the most recognizable objects of both this area and our city as a whole is the complex of the National Library of Belarus, opened in 2006. The new library building is a huge ball in the form of a diamond, symbolizing human knowledge, 73.7 m high (or 23 floors). At the top there is an observation deck with a beautiful view of the city. The library is designed to store 14 million books. There is a monument in front of the library to the outstanding educator of the 16th century, the Renaissance humanist thinker Francis Skarina, who was the founder of Belarusian and East Slavic book printing.
Other iconic objects that can be seen on the route through Pervomaisky district are the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Central Botanical Garden, the Chelyuskintsev Park of Culture and Recreation, the Belarusfilm National Film Studio, the Pershy National Gandlevy House shopping center, the Memorial Temple in honor of All Saints and in memory of the victims, the salvation of Our Fatherland served, the Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University, the Minsk Watch Factory, Kalinin Square, the Publishing House "Belarusian House of Press", the Belarusian National Technical University and the Building of the Institute of Physical Education.
We are currently on a route through the Partizansky district. Its length is about 5.5 kilometers.
Residents and visitors of the city are very interested in the Museum and Industrial Center of Labor Glory of the Minsk Tractor Plant (or simply MTZ) located on this route, which opened its doors to visitors in 2017.
As part of a visit to the Museum and Industrial Center, you can walk around the territory of the enterprise - a kind of city within a city with its own avenues and streets, visit the production and museum, use the services of "Tractor riding" and "Assemble a tractor".
Other objects on the route through the Partizansky district are the MTZ Palace of Culture, the Minsk Gear Factory, the Minsk State Machine-Building College, the Church of the Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky, the Belarusian State Youth Theater, the Minsk Margarine Factory, Alexander Gerasimenko Park, the Sakharov International State Ecological Institute of the Belarusian State University.
We are currently on a route through the Zavodsky district. Its length is about 14 kilometers.
A significant object of the route, located in the south-east of the capital on the territory of the 900th Anniversary of Minsk Park, is the Multifunctional cultural, sports and entertainment complex "Chizhovka Arena". It is the second largest ice rink in the country after the Minsk Arena, built for the 2014 IIHF World Championship in the capital of Belarus. Currently, Chizhovka Arena is a universal complex for holding top sports and entertainment events, athletes' training, pleasant leisure and active recreation for guests and residents of the city, as well as the home field of the Yunost-Minsk hockey club.
Other iconic objects that can be seen on the route through the Zavodsky district are the Park named after the 50th Anniversary of the Great October, the department store "Belarus", the Minsk State College of Culinary, Bakery No. 3, the monument to technology, the monument "The Woman on the Bison", the Palace of Culture of the Minsk Automobile Plant, the Monument to the Belarusian partisans, the Square "Belarus Partizanskaya", the Minsk Zoo, the Church of the Icon of the Minsk Mother of God and the Church of the Holy Spirit.
We are currently on a route through the Leninsky district. Its length is about 4 kilometers.
One of the objects of the route is the Loshitsky Manor and Park Complex, one of the most beautiful parks in the Belarusian capital, located in the southern part of the city along the banks of the Svisloch River, in the neighborhood of the same name. Loshitsa traces its history back to the 10th century, when a large settlement was located here, and later the territory became a private estate. On the territory of Loshitsky Park there is an ancient manor complex, around which the park itself was formed at one time. Nowadays, the manor has a wonderful museum, which is a branch of the Museum of the History of the city of Minsk.
Loshitsky Park is a great place for leisurely walks and family outdoor recreation in Minsk. For this purpose, there is all the necessary infrastructure: cycling and running tracks (ski trails in winter), various sports and children's playgrounds, rental points for sports equipment.
Other objects on the route through the Leninsky district are Serebryansky Park, the Church of the Epiphany, the Minsk Refrigeration Plant, the Worsted Factory, the Minsk City Palace of Culture, and the stadium of the Minsk football club.

A significant object and a modern architectural dominant of the district is the multifunctional complex Minsk-Mir, an area of modern development in an ecologically favorable part of the capital, on the site where the Old Minsk-1 Airport once stood, as recalled by the design of the Aerodromnaya metro station opened here in 2024. Today, the Minsk-Mir complex is one of the largest investment projects in Europe, involving about 100 houses. Each quarter has its own unique name, for example, "Quarter of Champions", "Quarter of World Dances", "Tropical Islands", "South America", "Emirates" and so on.
Other objects on the route through the Oktyabrsky district are the monument to Timofey Terentyevich Romashkin, the Palace of Culture of Railway Workers, the genre sculpture "Steam Locomotive" and the Sputnik Hotel.
We are currently on a route through the Moscow region. Its length is about 10 kilometers.
One of the objects of the route, which is of great interest to guests and residents of the district, is the quiet and peaceful park named after Mikhail Yakovlevich Pavlov, the former chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, who led the city from March 2000 to June 2009. During the years of Mikhail Pavlovich's leadership, iconic urban infrastructure facilities were built in Minsk, such as the National Library, the rebuilt Town Hall, the old coat of arms was returned, the flag and anthem of the capital were approved.
In the park, you can stroll along the landscaped alleys with beautiful flower beds and shrubs, relax on the numerous benches and sun beds by the water, spend time at the largest workout playground in Minsk, a playground with swings and slides, bike paths, hiking trails or a skate park for fans of scooter stunts.
Other objects on the route through the Moskovsky district are the Old Water Tower, the Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov Square, the Memorial Memorial, the Kirmash shopping center, the Belarusian State Medical University, the Transfiguration Church of the Lord, the Zubr Sculpture, the Grandfather and Grandson Sculpture, Kurgan, the Zvezda Hotel and the Apple Orchard.

We are located next to the Orthodox church in honor of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk, which was founded in Minsk in 1991 in memory of the victims of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident, one of the most tragic pages in the modern history of Belarus. Euphrosyne of Polotsk is one of the first canonized women in the East Slavic lands, a princess by birth and a defender of the Belarusian people. In 1996, on the 10th anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy, the Garden of Hope was laid on the territory of the church.
Other iconic objects that can be found on the route through the Frunzensky district are the Medvezhino Forest Park, the Minsk Theological College, the Tivali Park, the Industrial and Pedagogical College, and the Park of the 60th Anniversary of the Great October.

The place symbolizing the independence of the Republic of Belarus is the National Flag Square.
The square is a circle with a radius of 50 meters, in the center of which is a granite pedestal with a 70–meter-high stainless steel flagpole. The flag banner fluttering at the top of the flagpole is also impressive: its size is 14 by 7 meters, its area is 98 square meters, and its weight is 25 kilograms.
In addition to the flag itself, the square complex includes a bronze State Coat of arms with a diameter of 2 meters, stands with the text of the National Anthem and a map of Belarus, granite steles with the coats of arms of the regions and the city of Minsk. The Republican Plaque of Honor is located on the side of Pobediteley Avenue. The winners are entered annually – administrative-territorial units and organizations recognized as the best for achieving high results.
Other important sights of the area presented on the route include the embankment of the Internationalist soldiers, the Memorial Complex to the Internationalist Soldiers "Island of Courage and Sorrow", the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War., The stele "Minsk- the hero city", Victory Park, Stalag 352, the multifunctional sports complex "Minsk Arena", Pobediteley Avenue and the Palace of Independence.
