The House of Mercy is the first multifunctional social facility of the Orthodox Church in Belarus. 13 projects aimed at providing spiritual, medical and social assistance to poor people are being implemented here.
The creation of the House of Mercy was initiated with the blessing of Metropolitan Filaret of Minsk and Slutsk. The realization of the idea was entrusted to the Belarusian architect L.N. Pogorelov. The building is based on the shape of the Cross of St. Euphrosyne, Abbess of Polotsk.
The House of Mercy includes the Eleos multidisciplinary medical rehabilitation center, the Department of social rehabilitation, where humanitarian aid is distributed to all those in need, as well as various humanitarian projects, a sewing workshop for sewing church vestments, an icon painting workshop, a Sunday school, and a day labor camp for teenagers.
