The Church of St. Simeon and St. Helena is one of the most recognizable religious buildings in Minsk. It was built at the beginning of the twentieth century on the initiative of the public figure Edward Voynilovich. The construction of the temple lasted from 1905 to 1910. The church was built in the Neo-Romanesque style with elements of Neo-Gothic and Art Nouveau. Due to the fact that it is completely built of red brick, it was popularly called the "Red Church".
