The seven-storey building of the Central bus station, built on the site of the old one, is located on the forecourt. The Central Bus Station is the only bus passenger terminal equipped for passenger service in the city of Minsk, and the largest in the Republic of Belarus.
The station was opened in 1962. In August 2007, the station was closed for reconstruction, in November the old two-storey building was dismantled, and construction of a new station complex began in its place. The work was completed in 2011.
The complex consists of 5 levels. There are technical rooms and storage rooms in the underground. Part of the ground floor was occupied by the actual premises of the station – a waiting room, international ticket offices, other rooms for passengers and bus station employees, the rest of the ground floor and the three upper floors were occupied by a shopping complex, including retail facilities, cafes, bars, restaurants. A large part of the complex of the Central Bus Station in Minsk is occupied by a modern and fairly spacious parking for 500 cars.
