The Church of St. Mary Magdalene, Equal—to-the-Apostles, is an active church of the 19th century, built in 1847. The unique architectural monument combines features of late classicism and retrospective-Russian style. The temple was built on the site of a burnt-out wooden church, and during the Soviet years it was closed and converted into an archive (domes and crosses were removed). It was returned to the faithful and restored already in the years of independence. The patron saint of the temple is Mary Magdalene, one of the myrrh—bearing wives, who was the first to see the Risen Christ. They pray to her for getting rid of harmful habits and bad thoughts.
