Event tourism

This is a type of tourism in which trips are timed to coincide with certain events. Events may relate to culture, sports, or business.

The concept of event tourism can be associated not only with events of a public nature, but also with events from the personal life of each person. This can be organizing a wedding ceremony, celebrating one's own anniversary or a company's birthday – that is, any memorable date or event for a person. Such trips remain in the memory as one of the brightest moments in life!

The 2026 summer music and tourism season in Minsk will run from May 23rd to mid-September. The main events take place on weekends at Freedom Square near the Town Hall, the Loshitsky Historical and Cultural Complex, Rakovsky Yard, and the area near the Sports Palace.

Key Events:

Sports Palace area: Open Friday through Sunday. The program includes evening open-air film screenings, musical and intellectual quizzes, concerts by young performers, and sports activities.

Upper Town (Freedom Square): traditional folk crafts festival, theatrical performances, master classes, virtuoso performances, and open-air dance floors.

Loshitsky Historical Complex: Friday theater evenings, Saturday performances by professional orchestras (including the Nemiga Orchestra and the Yanka Kupala Theater Orchestra).
