The Republican Art Gallery of the Belarusian Union of Artists was opened in 1973 in Minsk. Until 1991 it was called the "Palace of Art". It has 4 exhibition halls – paintings (1450 m2), graphics (670 m2), decorative and applied arts (500 m2), an art hall, which is also used for exhibition and exposition activities. A small courtyard functions as an additional open-air playground, within which thematic creative projects (festival and concert events) are implemented. The gallery is intended for periodic exhibitions (personal, group, republican, foreign art). The main areas of activity are the representation of modern artistic practices, the popularization of art and the formation of the cultural field of Belarus
